About this (2006) Nordhavn 55

MOXIE’S owner has spared no expense to ensure the seaworthiness of this true passage maker . She is extremely well equipped including the full hydraulic package, and the upgraded Lugger 1276 main engine and much more. She has a proven track record of making long passages including a transatlantic crossing in 2017.

Prior to this passage, she was inspected by Yacht Tech’s extensive transatlantic check list. For this reason, Moxie also has a staggering amount of spare parts within her hold. Upon return, via ship transport, in December 2019, Her owner elected to re-inspect and re-service all of her systems. She is waxed, fully serviced and ready to cruise again.

Do not hesitate to see what this diligent owner has accomplished. Schedule an appointment as soon as possible as N55’s  like Moxie will not last.

The interior is fitted with beautiful bound edge carpeting leaving the wood flooring as a border. All settees are covered in custom fabrics.  Lots of attention to detail during the build process resulted in a beautiful interior with a great feel upon stepping on board. All overhead hatches have been fitted with Ocean Aire screens and sun block shades.

There is a large L-shaped settee to port with a beautiful teak dining table. There are two Ekornes reading chairs with ottomans to starboard. Two teak and inlay bar chairs face the pass-through granite counter top.  To port, the new Samsung 42”  TV is on a Airtex lift behind the settee. The entry door is also fitted with a removable screen.

The owner’s stateroom is on the same level as the galley, and it is located amidships where the motion is most comfortable during passages and while at anchor.  It features an over sized queen, walk around berth, with a custom HCM memory foam mattress.  A mirror has been installed in the alcove above the built-in dresser and a full-length mirror was installed on the inside of the door. The Master Stateroom has an optional ventilation hatch, custom storage on the wall at the foot of the bed beneath the built in 26″ TV and two hanging lockers.

The Master head has a full sized tub with shower, granite counter tops and backsplash and granite tile floor. There is additional storage in the aft wall locker.

Forward is the spacious guest cabin which is accessed from the starboard side stairway leading from the pilot house. The center wall is hinged which creates one large cabin or kept in place to keep the desk area as a separate office. The cabin features a double sized berth with custom HCM memory foam mattress, 20″  TV, a large hanging locker to port and a full-length mirror on the inside door. To starboard there is a desk and another locker with shelves.

Below the cabin sole is a teak and stainless ladder leading to the huge forward hold area.  This area houses the updated watermaker and fresh water pumps. This area also provides access to the bow thruster, chain wash and a custom parts cabinet.

The private head, with a stall shower, features a granite counter top and back-splash and granite tile floor with SS inserts.

Aft of the pilothouse is a private stateroom complete with a double-sized berth with custom HCM memory foam mattress, 13″ TV and hanging locker. This cabin is perfect for the off-watch crew on long passages. The head, appointed with granite, also functions as a day head.

The pilot house provides excellent visibility. Aft of the full-sized Admiral Stidd helm chair there is an elevated L-shaped settee.  The settee has superior visibility and a custom teak starburst table.  Beside the settee there is a custom locker to conveniently stow binoculars. To port and starboard, there are Dutch doors with removable screens.

The flybridge provides excellent 360 degree visibility and features a fixed soft top stainless steel hardtop, helm and companion chair and a forward facing settee with built in storage. There is a large storage area under the forward area of the flybridge.
