“WHAT DIFFERENTIATES N4601 FROM ALL OTHERS”

Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters.

Hydraulic thrusters are much more reliable and more powerful than electrical ones. They can also be run for long period of time as opposed to electrical ones which can be used only in short burst of times. With both bow and stern thrusters, “Frog-Kiss” can be “walked” totally sideways against 20knts of wind.

Complete ESI polishing and transfer fuel system.

Separate and independent from regular fuel system, pick up and return manifold allows any fuel tank to be polished to 3 microns (or 10 or 30 depending on needs) at any time. Fuel can be transferred from any of 4 tanks to any tanks via polishing or directly if needed. New fuel will be taken on board first only into one empty tank while self polishing. Contamination will be noticed before any significant fuel quantity is delivered. Tank #4, stbd. aft, is used as a main engine only day tank. Tank #2, port aft, is used for generator, wing engine and diesel heater.

One of a kind Forward guest cabin, large hanging closet in main cabin added.

The stbd. side of the guest cabin has been totally reconstructed by highest quality cabinet maker at Yacht Tech in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The slim bench has been replaced by a higher full single berth with large cabinets and drawers underneath adding significant easily accessible storage space. The guest cabin now includes a double bed on port and a very comfortable single on stbd.

A large cedar lined hanging closet has been built in the Aft section of the main cabin replacing the small desk and mirror.

Much improved ventilation throughout.

Two large dorades have been added to the roof top of the pilot house. Regardless of rain or spray over the bow, ventilation in and out can now be provided in the pilot house at all times.

The 2 original forward deck dorades have been replaced by higher (26″) vents, creating much added and necessary flow through the main and guest cabins.

With 3 independent reversible AC/heating units and a separate central diesel heating system, Frog-Kiss can comfortably handle any very cold or very hot weather…

220V and 110 VAC Electrical System.

Frog-Kiss has been cruising the Med for the past 4 years. She has a totally separate plug in system for 220V with a very sophisticated galvanic isolator safe grounding system for both 110V and 220V. All equipment on board can be run safely on 220V 50Hz or 110V 60Hz. A large assortment of different European plugs, as well as 100′ long cables are included.

“Med-Mooring” special system set up.

An 8ft aluminum “passerelle” can be set as easily from either the stern or the bow and then stored conveniently against the cabin in the stbd. passage way.

An after deck topside covered reel with 600ft of 3/8″ 3 strand nylon line and another one on the fore deck with 600ft of 3/4″ 3 strand nylon rode are ready for quick, untangled, deployment at anytime. This makes it very easy for any kind of stern to or bow to med mooring situation as well as added safety in any anchoring in deep water situation. It also comes in handy for kedging off sand bars in the Bahamas or for towing etc.

Very practical, no help needed, push button only, deployment and retrieval of stabilizing paravanes.

This system is the one used by all fishing vessels in the NE or NW United States. It’s simplicity and proven efficiency are evident, BUT YES, it makes you look like a fishing trawler and perhaps not the sleek fast motor yacht you could be…I have never seen this system used on any other Nordhavn. An extra line connected to winches is usually used to retrieve “the birds”. When the birds are running, these lines are dragging in the water from the birds back to the boat multiplying by 40 ( at least???) any chances of fouling as well as increasing drag…

When cruising on “Frog-Kiss” birds are stowed at the end of the deployed booms. They can be lowered or brought back up on the single hoisting chain or line by the 2 electric winches on the sail boom. This can be done from anywhere inside or outside of the boat with the 2 remote control switches…A child can do it…

Separate all stainless steel “Anchor stopper” can be launched and retrieved by hand. Priceless in rocking anchorages…Instant relief!

Full size swiveling comfortable helm’s Chair.

The wooden standard helm’s bench has been replaced by a full size leather helm seat. This is difficult to do on an N46 due to lack of space. Some modifications to the pilot house table and a sliding chair system makes it non obtrusive.

Large oval all aluminum waterproof deck hatch to access anchor/storage locker from fore deck.

You can visually check anchor rode from deck as it is retrieved as well as store fenders, lines, hoses, etc etc…

Main engine dry exhaust brought up to top of the mast.

For quieter, cleaner operation.

Extensive Sunbrella protective covers.

Full matching fitted with clear windows “Sunbrella” covers, totally enclosing Aft Deck, from topsides to roof top, side walking stbd. walkways and “Portuguese” Bridge. Plus cover for all Port side windows and side deck. This totally protect varnished teak top rail, gel-coated deck areas from sun/weather damage as well as keep the boat much warmer in the winter and cooler in tropical storage situation.

In Mast furling steadying sail.

1st level defense against rolls in beam seas. Very easy to roll in or out.
